Hi, I’m a London-based actor and storyteller originally from Norway. Born and raised as Guro Eggan, but rebranded for the film industry as Roe Haven. Confused? No worries, I answer to both.
As an actor I have lived a great variety of fictional lives, something I thoroughly enjoy.
Alongside my acting, I have fairly recently begun pursuing filmmaking as well. Though I have dabbled in the arts behind the camera in the past, I am now focusing on moving more into the professional world in this area, where I am focusing to build my skills as a writer and a director. So far I have created a couple of short films, and I am currently writing several features as well.
My work often centres around themes of vulnerability, obsession, memory, and transformation, with a focus on characters who hold both darkness and tenderness. I’m drawn to stories that feel emotionally raw and visually grounded.
Aesthetics are an essential part of my storytelling. I often begin with a single visual — a fleeting image or moment that comes to mind, and build the narrative outward from that. Mood, colour, and composition are as integral to my process as dialogue or plot, and I see filmmaking as a deeply sensory, intuitive form of expression.
Whether in front of or behind the camera, I strive to create work that feels
honest, cinematic, and emotionally resonant.
